A BIG thank you to everyone!

Mario Dedivanovic does it AGAIN!!

Yes that's right, on August 13, 2011 the very talented Mario Dedivanovic graced our presence yet again. This is his 3rd time hosting a workshop for us, and he always gives so much. His tips and tricks alone are enough to kick your personal make up career in gear! Everyone had a blast, and we were very happy to get amazing photographer, Mark Sacro, on board to shoot for the Artist Portfolio Event.

The day started off with artists lined up at the door for entry, eager and patiently waiting to see Mr. Dedivanovic work his magic in person. It's a first come first save event, so seat selection was crucial. We had artists who flew in from New York and Canada, and we were honored that they made the trip. Once Mario hit the stage, all was quiet, and the artists had their pen and paper ready. Mario's model for the day was the beautiful Zuleyka Silver. who was the winner in his model search for the chance to be his "face" for the day. After the flawless make up was done, everyone gathered around and the camera's flashed. Catering for the day was provided by Wood Ranch BBQ & Grill, and Pinkberry was another special treat for all of our guests! Almost too full to continue with the day, twelve artists stayed to participate in the Artist Portfolio Event. Photographer Mark Sacro set up as the make up artists worked on their models, and Mario walked around checking on everyone. The skill in the room that day was amazing. We were very pleased with the turnout, and as you can see below the pictures are beautiful!

As we count down the days to see celebrity make up artist, Mylah Morales, share her beauty secrets with us...take a peek at other special guests that are coming out as well.

Oh, and check how stunning Rihanna looked at this year's Grammy Awards...way to go Mylah!!

Industry Art Shops is teaming up with LA Models to give "great face" for the attendees during our workshop! After Mylah's demonstration, artists are encouraged to try the same look on their own models for the hands-on segment. Once make up is finished, photographer Ben Cope (http://www.bencope.net/), will be on set to shoot beauty shots of each model. There will also be hair stylists available to assist models in getting ready for their close up! Images from this workshop can be used as a great tool in building your book, as you take your career to that next level.

We have a guest model attending who you all may recognize from America's Next Top Model. Cycle 9 winner, Saleisha Stowers, will be Mylah's model for the day. If that's not enough, we dug up this Seventeen Magazine cover that Mylah actually worked on with Saleisha back in February 2008. It's now February 2010, and IAS reunites the ladies to work together once again! There will even be free giveaways from Cover Girl cosmetics throughout the day....how ironic, right? This is a workshop that you won't want to miss!!
